We hope the following information helps to answer some frequently asked questions about the wedding planning process.
To check the availability of the date of your preference, you may either CONTACT US by email or phone 816-220-4467.
To reserve a specific date, you may phone, email or drop in to our sales office. Dates may be held tentatively while you arrange an appointment with our wedding consultant or you may reserve your date with payment of a reservation deposit. Dates and ballroom space are reserved on a first-come basis.
Deposits are required to hold your specific reservation date and ballroom space based on availability. Amount of deposit is proportionate to the size of your event. Deposits are non-refundable after cut off dates. Through scheduled deposits and payments your event will be completely paid for prior to your reception.
Planning your details Our wedding coordinator will set up an initial appointment with you to assess your wants and needs. You may meet with her a few or several times prior to your event to discuss all of the menu, décor, set-up and details.
Catering We offer full-service, in-house catering provided by our certified chef and professional staff. Outside caterers are not permitted. All food and beverage must be purchased through our catering department in lieu of banquet room rental charges. Exceptions include your wedding cake and traditional family desserts.
Wedding Cakes Wedding cakes and groom’s cakes are very personal and the variety and quality are diverse. You may provide your own wedding cake. If you wish, we will assist with cake table decorations and service. We may suggest some recommended cake vendors if you like.
Other Vendors You are free to hire any other wedding vendors such as entertainers, consultants, florists and decorators, photographers or videographers. We would be happy to recommend a qualified professional that has done quality work for our past wedding clients at your request.
Group Hotel Room Rates The Courtyard by Marriott adjacent to our facility offers discounted group room reservation rates for family and wedding guests. Group room blocks should be reserved as soon as possible to assure room availability. Your guests will need to reserve rooms within your block of rooms in advance by the cut-off date in order to receive the discounted rate.
